Dola Louise Jordan Szaller

.Dola Louise "Sopher" Szaller (nee Jordan), age 89, of Schererville, IN passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014. She is survived by her four children: Rollin (Ruby) Sopher Jr. of Crown Point, Randy (Rosanna) Sopher of Cedar Lake, Linda Napier of Schererville and Roger (Vicki) Sopher of Tennessee; eleven grandchildren: Rollin (Debbie) Sopher III, Bonnie Vandewater, Jeff Sopher, Jenny (Gordon) Young, Randy Sopher Jr., Melissa Sopher, Roger Sopher Jr., Melinda (Chris) Kendy, Jackie Floman, Jim and John Ross; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister, Irene (Dick) Otterman of Hebron; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 20, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 9540 5th St., Highland, IN with Jason Jones, Minister officiating. Interment will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery, Merrillville, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland. Mrs. Szaller was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Highland and was retired from the I.H.B. Railroad. Dola loved to paint and fish.
