Jacqualyn Juanita Barber Strother, 78, of Harrisonburg passed away on December 5, 2023.
She was born on April 21, 1945 in Harrisonburg and was the daughter of the late Matthew and Catherine Watson Barber.
She was a member of the Divine Unity Church.
Jacqualyn is survived by a son, Kenneth Barber of Waynesboro; six grandchildren, Michael Smith, Vanessa Short, Dwayne Perry, Tiffany Short, Brittany Short and Markes Davis; three siblings, Godwin Barber, Gwendolyn Rivers and Lonnie Simmons.
In addition to her parents, a grandchild, Latrice Davis; former spouse, Kenneth Strother; and siblings, Loretta Morgan, Matthew Barber, Jr., Etta Byrd and Felicia Holly preceded her in death.
Honoring her wishes, she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held 2 pm, Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg with Reverend Dawn Strother Taylor officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Divine Unity Church.
