Amos "A.J." Delagrange Jr., 87, of Woodburn, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018. He was born to the late Amos and Mary (Miller) Delagrange Sr. in Woodburn on April 23, 1931. He attended Woodburn Missionary Church and was passionate about studying the Bible and mission work with his late wife, Rose. He spent a lot of time with his family and his dog, Jack. Amos was a retired contractor and farmer. He enjoyed collecting toy tractors and restoring antique tractors.
Amos is survived by his children, Lana (Michael) Mull, Kent Delagrange, daughter-in-law, Cindy Delagrange, Dana Miller-Delagrange, and Todd (Pam) Delagrange; grandchildren, Josh (Mallory) Mull, Jared (Tracey) Mull, Jamie (Matt) Schlatter, Libby (Christian) Yeaser, Ryan (Allison) Delagrange, Brandon Delagrange, Erin Delagrange, Jennifer Delagrange, Amber Delagrange, and Hope Delagrange; 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Det Stauffer; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rose Miller and Leah Liechty; and brother, Noah Delagrange.
Funeral service will be on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Woodburn Missionary Church (5108 Bull Rapids Road, Woodburn, IN 46797) at 10:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the church on Tuesday, December 11, 2018. Burial will follow at Yaggy Cemetery.
Preferred memorial contributions may be made to the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
