Peggy Lou Scott, 66, passed away August 20, 2016 in her home surrounded by her faithful companions Lily, Creamsicle, and Junior, her cats.
Peggy was born in Hampton on December 13, 1949, the only child of Virginia Murphy Scott and Francis Scott.
Peggy became a Civil Service employee after graduating from Hampton High School and rose to the position of Secretary to the Commander of TRADOC at Fort Monroe before retirement.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Hampton and was very involved in her Missionary Circle activities.
She is survived by her cousins, JoAnn Miller, Bill Murphy, and Jane Parker as well as her close friends in her church, her neighborhood, and those who shared her passion for animals and who enjoyed cruises and other activities with her.
A memorial service will be announced and held at her church at a later date.
