Obituary of Jacinta Belton
Jacinta P. Belton, age 95, passed away surrounded by her children and grandchildren on Tuesday November 12, 2024. Mom was born November 19, 1928 in Almirante District of the Providence Bocas de Toro in Panama. Moms dream was to become a mother and have a big family. Mom also wanted to travel the world and also wanted to have a business of her own. Mom met Vaughn Belton Sr while he was serving in the U.S Army and stationed in Panama. They soon got married and started a family. They traveled back to the United States and then to France. While stationed in France, it allowed mom to travel through Europe. She had eight children, five boys Norman, Vaughn Jr, Vernon, Robert and Ricky, along with three girls Nora, Katie and Vivian. After being stationed at various places Mom and Dad settled in Hampton Virginia. Dad worked at the V.A center in Hampton after retiring from the U.S Army. Mom and Dad soon opened a CITGO service station on Kecoughtan Road in Hampton. Mom also wanted to become a U.S citizen and accomplished that dream as well. Mom was preceded in death by her husband Vaughn Belton Sr. and two sons Robert and Ricky Belton. She leaves to cherish her memories, Norman Belton, Nora Wright, Vaughn (Leslie) Belton Jr, Katie (Keith) McCarthy, Vernon (Janice) Belton, Vivian (Bob) Dubois. Mom also leaves behind 19 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and a multitude of friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday November 17th, 2024 at 11:30 AM at Parklawn Wood Funeral Home located at 2551 N. Armistead Ave, Hampton VA 23666. A burial will immediately follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens, located at 155 Butler Farm Road, Hampton VA 23666
