Grace Yvonne Keith Quarles

Grace K. Quarles, 92, passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018. She was born in Greenville, South Carolina and was a resident of Hampton since 1956. She was a member of West Hampton Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher in the children’s division. After a career spanning over 25 years, she retired in 1985 from teaching elementary school in the Hampton City School system. Her husband, Herbert Lester Quarles, preceded Grace in rest. She is survived by her sons, Kevin Quarles, and Keith Quarles and wife Mary; grandchildren, Jay Jewell, Robbie Jewell, Andrew Quarles, and Todd Quarles; and four great-grandchildren. In addition, two brothers in South Carolina. The family will receive friends 7:00 to 8:30 pm, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home and Memorial Park. A celebration of Grace’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, February 21 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park.
