Glendora E. Modlin

Glendora Modlin, 90, of Hampton, Virginia passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 13, 2021. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Most of all she was a Servant of the Lord. She was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church in Hampton. Glendora is survived by her sons, Frank Modlin, Jr. and his wife, Kelly, Michael Modlin and his wife, Marilyn; daughters, Vickie Canfield and her husband, Tony, Linda Kearney and her husband, Anthony. She enjoyed a long list of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband of seventy two years, Frank Modlin. The family would like to recognize the caregivers who provided comfort and care during the past few months. Special thanks to the staff at Commonwealth Senior Living Facility in Hampton, Virginia and Heartland Hospice Care in Newport News, Virginia. With grateful hearts we also thank Margaret Moore for her faithful care of our mother over the past two years. Visitation will be on May 19, 2021, from 12:50 PM to 1:30 PM at Bethel Baptist Church, 1647 Briarfield Road, Hampton, Virginia. A Celebration of Life will begin at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Extend the Vision Building Fund, Bethel Baptist Church, 1647 Briarfield Road, Hampton, Virginia 23669.
