Obituary of Donna Jo Fox
Donna J. Fox, 86, of Newport News, went home to be with her beloved Savior, Tuesday, February 10, 2015. Born in Flag Pond, TN, July 8, 1928, she had been a resident of Newport News for 63 years. She was employed by and retired from Siemens Automotive. Mrs. Fox was a member of Harbor Baptist Church. She loved to sing and was a member of the choir for many years. She was also an avid quilter and made many beautiful quilts for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Bert Fox, her loving husband of 59 years; her parents; a brother; and a sister. Survivors include a sister, Ester of Newport News; childlren, Brenda Brinkley of Evington, VA, Billy Fox of Kernersville, NC, and Nancy Law of Newport News; eight grandchildren, Randy Brinkley of Evington, VA, Robert Brinkley of Rustburg, VA, Nathan Brinkley of Danville, VA, Rebecca Lancaster of King, NC, Kristen Little of Winston-Salem, NC, Bethany Cassie of Kernersville, NC, Jeremy Law of Port Washington, MD, and Anna Liverman of Newport News; 12 great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher, Heaven, Matthew, Bryce, Selah, Emma, Ava, Luke, Levi, Bristol; and many nieces and nephews. Even though she will not arrive until May, great-grandbaby, Brooklyn Elizabeth, will get to know her "Momma Dee" through all the wonderful stories that will be shared with her. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 N. Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA. Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Robert Law and the Rev. C.J. Prather, will begin immediately following. Interment will follow at Hampton-Veterans Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers are Buddy Foxx, Micah Foxx, Jeremy Law, Brian Liverman, James Cassie and Phillip Little.
