Karen Jo Crowe

Karen Jo Crowe, 56, of Shelbyville formerly of Greensburg, passed away on April 23, 2020 at her residence. She was born on August 7, 1963 in Greensburg, the daughter of John and Rita (Wilmer) Veerkamp. Karen married Dennis L. Crowe on November 17, 1984 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shelbyville, Indiana and together they had one son, Johnathon. Karen worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant for many years. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg. Survivors include: mother, Rita Veerkamp; son, John (Courtney) Crowe; grandchildren, Colton, Corbin, and Canaan Crowe; Sisters, Mary Ann (Mark) Wentzel and Susan (Steve Keen) Veerkamp. She was preceded in death by her father, John Veerkamp and husband, Dennis Crowe. A drive thru visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland Howe Funeral Home on Monday, April 27, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. You are invited to sign the online guest registry book. A Graveside Service will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 with Father John Meyer officiating.
