Ernest Wayne Earley

Ernest Wayne Earley, age 80, of Greencastle, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015. Born October 16.1934 in Bainbridge, he was the son of Clifford and Reba (Gibson) Earley and was a graduate of Bainbridge High School “Class of 1952”. He had also attended Purdue University. He married Nancy C. (Vote) Earley on January 24, 1960. Ernie was a custodian at Greencastle Middle School for 21 years, had driven a school bus for North Putnam High School for 26 years, worked as a carpenter, and farmed. He was a member of the Sherwood Christian Church and 40 year member of the Moose Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Earley, son, Roger (Cindy) Earley, sister, Carol (Robert) Gray, grandchildren, Laura Earley and companion Tiffany, and Eric (Mindy) Earley; and nephew, Rusty Hitch. He was preceded in death by parents. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2015 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Brick Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
