OBITUARY
Helen Fritts Wilhite
December 16, 1930 – August 1, 2016
Helen Fritts Wilhite, age 85, of Annandale, passed away August 1, 2016 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Turner-Robertshaw Funeral Home with the Reverend Kevin Havens officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Mrs. Wilhite was born in Warren County on December 16, 1930 to the late Howard and Lillian Simmons Fritts and grew up on the family farm in Front Royal. She was retired from Castleburg’s jewelry store. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, reserving a special place in her heart for her grandsons.
Mrs. Wilhite is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Elva Wilhite of Richmond, and Keith and Diane Wilhite of Chantilly; her step-daughter Martha Lou Shevett; her step-sons, Barry Wilhite and Gary Wilhite; her brother, Wilson Fritts; her three grandsons, Darren Wilhite, Cory Wilhite, and Jeffrey Wilhite; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wilhite was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Herman Wilhite, Jr.; her step-son, Ronnie Wilhite; her brothers, Richard Fritts, Terry Fritts, and Ralph Fritts; and her sisters, Edith Williams Fabretti and Mildred Jones.
Pallbearers will be Darren Wilhite, Cory Wilhite, Jeffrey Wilhite, Steve Williams, Bruce Williams, and Gary Williams.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association, 7203 Poplar Street, Annandale, VA 22003, or to the charity of your choice.
