Terry L. Richter, Jr.
September 4, 1954 – November 5, 2024

Terry L. Richter, Jr., age 65, of Elkhart, Indiana, formerly of Angola, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in Elkhart, Indiana.
He was born on September 4, 1959 in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Terry graduated from East Noble High School High School in 1977.
He served his Country in the United States Army.
He recently retired after 43 years from New Horizons Bakery, Fremont, Indiana.
Terry was heavily involved in his work, and was a Union Representative for many years. He loved to make memories for his family and grandchildren, and enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing the drums.
He was a member of The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and a supporter of DCI for many years. Nothing made Terry happier than talking about his children and grandkids and their accomplishments. Recently purchasing his home with wife Deborah and making memories with her. Terry loved to do acts of kindness and never wanted any recognition. Terry truly enjoyed fishing with his loved ones in free time at his brothers lake and property. He also was a very avid meat smoker even making his own bbq sauce, and also loved to visit with his friends at the Fremont Bar & Grill.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah (Riggs) Richter of Elkhart, Indiana, children, Anna Smith of Fremont, Indiana, Nicholas Richter and Traci Richter, both of LaGrange, Indiana, grandchildren, Lexi and Bentley, a brother, Ronald (Nancy) Richter of Rome City, Indiana, and nephews, Ronald N. Richter, Jr. and Nathan D. Richter, both of Rome City, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Terry Lee Richter, Sr., and mother, Anna M. (Wirick) Richter Preston.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana at a later time. Military Honors will be conducted by the Fremont American Legion Cassel Post # 257 and the US Army Honor Team.
Memorial donations may be directed in care of the family for the grandchildren's college fund.
