Michael John Craun

Michael J. Craun, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away at his home on Thursday, March 10, 2016, with his family by his side. He was born July 15, 1957 in Coldwater, Michigan, the son of John Craun and Delores (Licht) Rutherford. He graduated in 1975 from Coldwater High School, Coldwater, Michigan. He was the owner of Gold Star Wrecker and Repair in Fremont, Indiana. He married Kathy (Champion) on June 19, 1986 in Fremont, Indiana. He enjoyed watching NASCAR on Sunday’s, especially # 24 Jeff Gordon, the Indianapolis Colts football, and Peyton Manning, he was a huge lover of animals, and his dogs, he liked working in his yard, and spending lots of time with his grand-daughter Nataleigh, spending his free time cleaning and driving his mustang, hanging out with his family, camping, and going to MIS. He leaves behind his family pets, Maddie, Alice, Benji, and Moker. Survivors include his wife Kathy Craun of Fremont, Indiana, a daughter and her fiancée Casey Craun and Tony Mussatti of Fremont, Indiana, his mother Delores Rutherford of Coldwater, Michigan, his grand-daughter, Nataleigh Mussatti, sisters, Laurie (Randy) Egan of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Candy (Bill) Butz of Alma, Michigan, and Jodie Garn of Coldwater, Michigan, and a brother, Randy (Sharon) Craun of Colon, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his father, John Craun on October 26, 2010, and sisters, Susan Wilder, and Penny Hagerman, and a brother, Jamie Rutherford. Calling hours will be held from 5-8 pm Monday, March 14, 2016 at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Beams Funeral Home, with Rev. Jon Bruney officiating. Burial will be at Jordan Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana. Memorials are to the family.
