Robert Peter Mercurio

Robert Peter Mercurio, 70, of Fredericksburg passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan; daughter, Michelle Mercurio; son Robert Mercurio III; sister, Doretta O’Connor; grandson, Lucas; son-in-law Kevin Woodcox; Amy Mercurio; mother-in-law Mary Swiatek and numerous cousins and family members who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by parents, Roberto and Eda Mercurio; father-in-law, Ronald Swiatek; and grandson, Robert James Mercurio. Bob obtained his Bachelor of Science from Fordham University in New York and his MBA from Arizona State University. He also served in the Arizona Army National Guard as a helicopter mechanic before embarking on a career in IT and then as a Realtor. He was active in the Realtor community and was a member of Chancellor Ruritan. Those who knew Bob know he liked to have a good time and be with people. Join us for a celebration of his life on Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel from 2-5:00 pm. Inurnment will be private. We, his family, would like to thank the doctors, nurses, care providers and staff of Fairfax INOVA Lung Transplant center and hospital.
