Charles Randolph Stone

Charles Randolph Stone, Charlie, of White Oak went to the Lord on November 3, 2023 at Mary Washington Hospital surrounded by his family. He was born on August 1 1947 and lived his entire life in White Oak.
Charlie served his country as a US Army Ranger during the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter by trade but capable of performing all tasks associated with construction. After building homes in the Fredericksburg area during the 1970s and 1980s, he went to work at NSWC and retired from Dahlgren with more than 25 years of service.
Charlie was a good neighbor, cleaning driveways during the winter, plowing gardens in spring, and furnishing the neighbors with vegetables from his huge garden during summer. Charlie played softball for many years and was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. He was a charter member of the P&S Sportsman Club and served as its only president.
He served his community as a lifetime member of White Oak Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of Fredericksburg Eagles Aerie 4123, a member of the Patawomeck Tribe, and a member of The Sons of Confederate Veterans.
He was predeceased by his parents, Nancy Curtis Stone and I Randolph Stone. He is survived by his children, Robin Benner (Roger), Charles Jr. (Janet), and Christina Gorecki (Mat); siblings, Herby Stone (Jackie), Jeff Stone (Kay), and Cindy Watson (Jimmie); grandchildren, Caleb, Chase, Jenna, and Carly Stone, Dalton Benner, and Morgan Gorecki; Special Garage Crew, Aaron Sullivan, Dale Raines and Scotty Stone.
The Family would like to thank the MWH ICU staff, especially his grandson Caleb for their support.
Family will receive friends at White Oak Volunteer Fire Department on Sunday 12 November, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the White Oak Volunteer Fire Department.
