Barbara Elizabeth Kern, 79 of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away on September 3, 2022 of Multiple Sclerosis while surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born on December 1, 1943 in Washington DC to Laura L. Sessa and George R. Kern Jr.
Barbara retired from the Department of Defense before becoming a representative of Mary Kay.
She loved her children, nature, and animals and was a daughter of the American Revolution.
She leaves behind a lifetime friend, Bobby Crawford; brothers, John Kern, Fred Kern; sisters, Mary Slachter, Virginia Edwards; children, Laura Jahnke, Kimberly Renner; grandsons, Daryl Jahnke, Andrew Jenkins, Chad Renner; and great-grandchildren Landon and Evelyn Mae.
She was preceded in death by her parents Laura L. Sessa and George Kern Jr., and her daughter, Deborah Jahnke.
A celebration of life will be held on October 30, 2022 at 2:00pm at Lake Ridge Fellowship House, 12800 Harbor Dr., Woodbridge, Virginia 22192.
