William L. Brown

William L Brown, 92, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Born on November 24, 1930, in Leavittsburg, Ohio, he was a son of the late William and Melba (McGowen) Brown. He proudly served his country in the Navy, and retired as a Teamster Union Truck Driver. He loved boating, family vacations, playing cards, building and fixing things around the house, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughters, Karen (Terry) Blair, JoQuetia (Phillip) Eatherly, Gina (Kenneth) Bacon, and Kimberly (Jeffrey) Brooks; 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Patricia Beyer. He was also preceded in death by his wife of more than 70 years, Joyce Brown, on February, 13, 2023; grandson, Benjamin Blair; siblings, Richard Brown, and Dolly Braddock. Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Thursday, April 20, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 4 to 8pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to Honor Flight of Northeast Indiana, or Promedica Home Health and Hospice, Fort Wayne.
