Wilbur "Dale" Wagler

Wilbur “Dale” Wagler, 73, of Harlan, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. Born on August 24, 1942 in Loogootee, Ind., he was a son of the late William and Mary (Yoder) Wagler. He was the co-owner of Harlan Cabinets and M&W Countertops for over 40 years and was also the co-owner of Gordon Creek Granite for over 10 years. Dale was a lifelong member at Central Ministries and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, Isabella and Harrison, who were papa’s pride and joy. He enjoyed fishing, camping, tractors, cars, music, and playing his guitar. He was an amazing and peaceful man who will be greatly missed by so many. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Doris (Stoll) Wagler of Harlan; daughters, Michelle Wagler of Harlan and Melissa (Donald) Bowers of Monroeville; two grandchildren, Isabella Rae Bowers and Harrison Dale Bowers; brothers, Simon (Martha) Wagler of Spencerville and Ray Wagler of Mark Center, Ohio; sister, Catherine Delagrange of Woodburn; brothers-in-law, Amos Delagrange and Monroe Barkman; and his four-legged friend, Mack the Bulldog. He was also preceded in death by four brothers, Wilmer, Omer, Wilbur, and William Wagler; sisters, Lena Barkman, Rosie Delagrange, and Mildred Delagrange; brothers-in-law, Delbert and Ora Delagrange; and sister-in-law, Betty Wagler. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at 11:00am at Central Ministries, 5801 Schwartz Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the church. Burial at Yaggy Cemetery, Grabill. Memorials may be made to Northeast Fire Department or Parkview Home Health & Hospice.
