Susan K. Romine

Susan K Romine, 61, of Fort Wayne died Sunday May 11, 2014 after a year long battle with Stage 4 Cancer. She passed away peacefully in her sleep. Susan was born to Edward Fuhrman and the late Marjorie Fuhrman, November 30, 1952 in Fort Wayne, IN. She graduated from South Side High School in 1970. She married the late Gary Romine in 1973. Susan worked for many years at Target and later K-Mart until moving to Cape Coral, FL where she worked at Home Depot. She loved to sew and created many beautiful gifts. Susan loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She devoted her later years to being a live-in Nana helping to care for her grandchildren. Susan is survived by daughter Tamara and son-in-law Joseph Wilcoxson of Fort Wayne. She has 2 grandchildren, Samuel and Grace. Susan was one of six children. She is survived by sisters Cheryl (Dan) Porter, Beth (Jeff) Schoel, Christine Biltz and one brother Timothy Fuhrman. Step Mother; Kathleen Fuhrman and 2 step siblings; Keith Beeching and Marla Sherfick. Susan is Aunt to 12 nieces and nephews; and Great Aunt to 23. She is preceded in death by brother Terry Fuhrman and sister-in-law Brenda (Tim) Fuhrman. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to the family to be given to the charity of their choice. Service is at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana on Monday, May 19th, at 6:00 P.M. Visitation is one-hour prior.
