RONALD L. ROFFELSEN, 75, of Fort Wayne, died on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital. Born Oct. 8, 1936, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of the late Cornelius Roffelsen and Ruth Buhr Roffelsen. He was a truck driver with Jerry Bailey Trucking for 17 years. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Surviving are his wife, Christa Roffelsen of Fort Wayne; sons, Michael (Clark Rogers) Roffelsen of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. and Chris (Tina) Roffelsen of Fort Wayne; daughters, Shelley (Tony) Adamonis of Fort Wayne and Amy (Troy) Waidelich of New Haven; son, Shannon (Kersten) Roffelsen of Germany; brother, Anthony Roffelsen of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven; and two brothers, William and Thomas. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:30 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior. Fr. Cyril Fernandes officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
