Robert Lee Murphy Sr.

Robert Lee Murphy Sr. 81 passed away Monday December 20, 2021 at his home in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born July 6, 1940 in Sherwood Ohio, the son of the late LaVon and Vivian Murphy. Robert proudly served in the U. S. Army in Korea. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. Robert worked for Allen County Maintenance for 20 years, Wayne Township Trustee for 10 years and the American Red Cross for 5 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Doris Murphy, sons Ferlin (Melissa) Murphy, Robert Lee (Cathy) Murphy Jr. all of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Allen Murphy in 1995, brothers, Claude, Charles, Raymond and Richard Murphy, sisters Coral Martin and Grace Oberlin. Funeral service will be 10 am Tuesday December 28, 2021 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 1636 St. Mary’s Blvd. Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2-4 and 6-8 Monday December 27, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
