Marvin Lee Beady

Marvin Lee Beady, 83, passed away on December 6, 2019 at home. He was born on April 13, 1936 in Haverhill, Ohio, the son of the late Dartmouth and Emma Beady. Marvin worked at BF Goodrich for 35 years before his retirement. He was a member of New Hope United Brethren Church, Huntington, Indiana. Marvin was a Harley Davidson lover and enjoyed taking trips with his wife all over the U.S. He was also an avid fan of IU basketball and the Chicago Cubs. In his spare time he enjoyed spending time at the lake and fishing for Blue Gill. Marvin is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carolyn Beady; daughter, Anne (Ed) Tarter; grandchildren, Danielle Clements and Brett Beady; step-children, Debra Thompson, Chris (Judy) Thompson, Jerry Thompson; step-daughter-in-law, Mary Thompson; seven step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Shirley Sills, Glen (Judy) Beady and Betty (Dick) Scott. Marvin was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Beady; grandsons, Chad Clements and Zachary Clements; step-son, Bruce Thompson; and brothers, Dwayne and Larry Beady. Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 2-4 and 6-8 on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 also at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
