Marguerite was born August 22, 1928, in Mattoon, Illinois, a daughter of Occie and Minnie (Whitrock) Carter. She is survived by her two daughters, Lynn Ann Moga and her husband Mikal Moga of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Jacqueline Lee Wigton of New Smyrna Beach, Florida; eight grandchildren, Kelly (Andy) Fensler of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Darcy (Peter) Berg of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Jason (Cari) Moga of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Libbie (Rey) Gonzalez of Dover, Florida, Dan (Carrie) Wigton of Millersburg, Ohio, Brandon (Sharla) Moga of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Darren (Amelie) Moga of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Julie (Brad) Raby of Knoxville, Tennessee; 28 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. As a long time resident of Mansfield, Ohio, Marguerite worked for the Richland Trust Bank. In retirement, she moved to New Smyrna Beach, Florida with her husband, Fred Rader, who preceded her in death March 10, 1990, where she was a vital part of the Bahamian Club Condominium social scene. She was very active playing cards, golfing, water aerobics, and weekly get togethers with friends.
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.’” John 11:25-26
Marguerite believed this truth and was faithful in church her entire life.
She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother, an aunt, a sister, a daughter and a friend. She gave careful attention to relationships – always proper, classy, generous, talented, caring and loving. She was a beautiful seamstress, and used her skills for lasting family memories. Forever cherished will be her knitted afghans for her eight grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. We will always carry your memory in our hearts. Special thanks to the staff at Kingston Care Center.
