Marceil JoAnn Zehr Kryder
February 20, 1929 – January 31, 2023

Marceil JoAnn (Sumney) Zehr Kryder died peacefully at her home in Noblesville, IN on Tuesday, January 31, 2023. She was born to Leonard O. & Ercel L. (Klopfenstein) Sumney on February 20, 1929 in Grabill, IN. Marceil was raised in a loving, Christian Home; she carried her faith in Christ Jesus everywhere, along with a 'Song in her heart'!
She made each house a Home as she shared her faith with her Husband of 32 years, Thomas K. Zehr, until his sudden death in 1985. After years as a widow, she married Dick Kryder in 1997 until his death in 2017. She attended Leo High School and Fort Wayne Bible College. She was a member of First Missionary & Grabill Missionary Church. She was first and foremost a Homemaker, but also owner of Hoosier Heritage Antiques and worked in the Fort Wayne Bible College Alumni Office.
Marceil is survived by her Sister, Sharon (David) Von Gunten; and Sister-in-law, Carol Sumney. Also surviving are her Children, Deanna (Jeff) Gilbert, David (Denice) Zehr, Daniel (Ashley) Zehr, and Brenda (Billy) Britton, as well as Stepsons Scott Kryder and Todd (Mary) Kryder. Twenty Grandchildren, four Step-grandchildren; 12 Great-grandchildren, and five Step-great-grandchildren.
Marceil was preceded in death by her Husband, Thomas K. Zehr, her second Husband, Dick M. Kryder; her Sister, Marguerite; Brother-in-law Albert Carver; and Brother Roland Sumney.
A Memorial Service is at 12:00 Monday, February 6, 2023 at Grabill Missionary Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling also Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN. There will be a private burial for Marceil at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in honor of Marceil's life may be made to Fort Wayne Alumni Center, Gateway Woods Children's Home, or Youth Services of Allen County.
