M. Eileen Swarts, 92, passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Towne House in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born January 25, 1930 in Springfield, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence Cleo and Helen Schilling.
Eileen graduated from Springfield High School and earned her Associates from Miami University. She was a library assistant with North Adams Community Schools for over 10 years. Eileen was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter 600. She enjoyed traveling, golfing, celebrating Christmas, and was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader. Her true passion was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.
Eileen is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Sherl S. Swarts; daughters, Tami (Kevin) Rebman, Stephanie (Ron) Stevens, all of Fort Wayne, IN; grandchildren, Jaime J. (Andrew) Dix, Lindsay E. (Mike) Craft, Elliot C. (Sarah) Stevens, Abigail (John III) Tippmann; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Private services and burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements by D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne.
