Kimsey C. Everson, 87 passed away Saturday March 27, 2021 at Lutheran Life Villages South Anthony in Fort Wayne IN. He was born in October 15, 1933 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Czerney and Lela Mae Everson. He graduated from Fort Wayne Central High School in 1952. He was a Supervisor at Rea Magnet Wire in Fort Wayne and retired after 35 years. Kimsey also was a volunteer with Junior Achievement for several years. He enjoyed spending time at Sylvan Lake, and teaching his grandchildren how to fish. He also enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and was known at Lutheran Life Villages as the puzzle master. Kimsey’s true passion in life, was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his children, Steven (Ellen) Everson of Leo, Lori (Jeff) Dunham of Granger, Ind., Bruce (Michelle) Everson of Fort Wayne, Scott (Christi) Everson of Fort Wayne, IN, Ind., and Amy (David) Doenges of Granger, Ind.; son-in-law, Ron Strahm of Auburn, Ind.; 36 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren, and a sister in law Madonna Everson of Fort Wayne, IN. Kimsey was preceded in death by his wife Gaynetta J. "Pooch" Everson April 2016, an infant daughter; and his daughter, Kimberly Ann Strahm, siblings Gwen Saalfrank, Maurice Everson, Chester “Max” Everson, Robert Everson, Keith Everson, and Ted Everson.
Private visitation will be conducted by D.O.McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN. Private burial and committal service at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made to Lutheran Life Villages of South Anthony.
