John L. Wise

John L. Wise,74 passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. Born on June3, 1948 in Muskegon, Michigan, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Marjorie (Thomas) Wise. John began his career as a heavy diesel mechanic and later on as a loader operator. He was retired from Hanson Aggregate on Ardmore after 48 years. John enjoyed being outdoors and taking gator rides through the woods. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Wise; daughters, Terri (Steve) Sorg, Kerry (Gautam) Patel, and Kelly (Malek) Abouhalkah; seven grandchildren; sister, Weltha Smith; and brother, Wendell Wise. John was also preceded in passing by his sister, Virginia Sauer; and brother, Vance Wise. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home for Funerals 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46809 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 4:00-8:00pm on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the funeral home. Burial to follow the service at Covington Memorial Gardens.
