John M. Fortmeyer

John M. Fortmeyer, 34, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born April 19, 1989 in Fort Wayne, IN. John graduated and attended Northop High School. He was a Broker at Circle Logistics Trucking, where he worked with his father. John loved the Lawton Park area of Fort Wayne. He was fond of cars, especially old-style Cadillacs. He loved music, especially classic rock such as the Beatles, Counting Crows, Fleetwood Mac, and Tom Petty. John enjoyed working on his cars, listening to music and spending time outdoors with his dog. John is survived by his parents, Margaret Ann (Timothy) Ferguson of Waunakee, WI; Eric (Cindy) Fortmeyer of Champions Gate, FL; siblings, Eric Fortmeyer, Kathryn Ferguson, Rachel Ferguson, Kasey (Jesse) Hall, Robert (Ally) Fortmeyer, Elizabeth Fortmeyer; grandmother, Elaine Fortmeyer and grandfather, Roger Fortmeyer. A funeral service will be 3:00 pm Friday May 26, 2023 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne IN, with visitation 2 hours prior at the funeral home.
