Joan C. Mattoon

Joan C. Mattoon, 77, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022. Born on November 5, 1944, in Pensacola, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Robert T. and Beatrice (nee Brigham) Baston. She enjoyed gardening, and sewing. Joan is survived by her son, James Mattoon of Fort Wayne; brother, George Robert Baston and family of Georgia; companion, Ron Lee of Fort Wayne; son-in-law, Aaron Smith; and granddaughter, Zoe Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kristina Smith. A wake to honor Joan's life will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne. She will be laid to rest at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
