Jesus "Jess" H. Rodriguez

Jesus “Jess” H. Rodriguez, 90, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, June 27, 2020. Mr. Rodriguez was born September 12, 1929 in Kingsville, TX, the son of the late Cayetano and Rosenda (Herrera) Rodriguez. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1947 to 1950 and in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951 to 1960. He retired from International Harvester in 1986 after twenty years of service. He was the owner of R & R Tax & Document Preparation Services since 1991. He married Julia (Silva), from 1945 to 1989, then married, Shirley (Blech) from 1990 to 2010. Survivors also include three sons, Ron Rodriquez of Las Vegas, NV, Jesse (Linda) Rodriquez, of Richmond, CA, and Larry Rodriguez, of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Beatrice (William) Velarde of Fort Wayne, and Terry (Otis) Harrell, of Jacksonville, FL; 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his sons, James E Rodriguez and Hector M Rodriguez. Funeral service will be held at 1:30pm, Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St Joe Road, Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 4 to 8pm, Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
