Janet R. "Jan" Herter

Janet R. “Jan” Herter, 78, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away on Friday, September 13, 2024. She was born on October 22, 1945 in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of the late Leroy and Phyllis (Wagner) Stickler. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, and spending time with friends. Most of all she loved being a grandmother. Surviving family include her children, Christopher (Sarah) Herter, Mark (Sara) Herter, and Jennifer (Benjamin) Pappert; five grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Judy Stickler. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, James L. “Jim” Herter; and two brothers. A private family service will be held at a later time.
