J. Thomas Sarvay

J. THOMAS SARVAY, 77, of New Castle, Ind., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at Canterbury Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born April 29, 1937, he was a son of the late George and Anna (Kasich) Sarvay. He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor Degree in Industrial Design. Thomas worked with Computer Technology Sales for many years, retiring in 2000. He was also a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, in New Castle, Ind. Thomas was a private pilot and owned many planes in which he traveled. He enjoyed painting and as an artist had some of his paintings displayed in museums. He was an avid antique toy collector; collecting tin toys and vintage airplanes. He is survived by his wife, Beth Ann Sarvay of Fort Wayne; daughters, Margaret (Daniel) Toma of Mankato, Minn. and Ann (Michael) Cocklin of New Haven, Ind.; son, Scott (Devin) Sarvay of Fort Wayne; six grandchildren; and brother, George (Joann) Sarvay of Cleveland, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
