Donna M. Hanks

Donna M. Hanks, age 67, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born July 6, 1953 in Lewiston, Maine, to the late Earl B. and Barbara Morse Manchester. Donna was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.Donna had an infectious laugh and had a knack for making everyone around her laugh, without even knowing why. Spending time with her family was her true passion in life. Donna enjoyed bowling, camping, spending time at her 2nd home at Manapogo Park on Lake Pleasant, playing Skip-BO and Bingo. She was an avid Cubs, Red Sox and IU Basketball fan. Donna was truly "cookoo for Cocoa Puffs," and was her favorite cereal. She loved to spoil her grandkids and usually never missed a sporting or musical event they had. She will be missed being seen in the stands cheering them on. She is survived by her children, Janice Shepler, Kristina (Robert) Musser, Mark (Jennifer) Shepler all of Fort Wayne IN; siblings, Frank (Lillian) Morse, Ritchie (Leslie) Morse, Robert (Holly) Morse, Randy (Debbie) Morse, Tammy (Frank) Olszewski, 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Zach, Blake, TJ, Ahna, Daniel, Jonelle and a great granddaughter, Harper. Preceded in death by her husbands, John F. Shepler Jr. in 1992 and Michael Hanks in 2019, sister Brenda Crawley, and a grandson Jonathan Shepler. A private funeral service will be 1:30 Monday, November 23, 2020 at Hockemeyer Miller Funeral Home (6131 St. Joe Road, Fort Wayne), with visitation one hour prior.
