Donna Maxine Baxter, 88, passed away Thursday February 3, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Columbia City, IN. She was born October 2, 1933 in Avilla, IN the daughter of the late Daltie and Lois I. Maggert. She graduated from Liberty Center High School in 1949. She was a long time resident of Fort Wayne IN and was a beautician at Magic Finger Beauty Salon for 20 years. She was a member of Healing Waters Fellowship Church in Columbia, City.
She is survived by her children, Diane “Dee” (David W.) Smith of Columbia City, IN; Tamra Baxter, Ronald Baxter Jr., Bruce L. Baxter, all of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings Venita Hall of Bluffton, IN; Elaine J. Hamman, Eva Carnall, both of Ossian, IN; grandchildren, Owen Maxwell Baxter, Jamie Nichole Baxter, Patrick James Klingerman, Seth Silance, Corey Baxter, Kayla Caudill, Kassandra Baxter, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great, granddaughter.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L Baxter Sr., daughter Cherrie Ann Penrod, grandson, Michael John Schladenhauffen, siblings, Bud Maggart, Wanda L Armantrout, John Maggart, and Norman Maggert.
Funeral service will be 11 am Sunday February 13, 2022 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. with visitation one hour prior.
