Obituary of Donald "Don" Gene Crago
Donald "Don" Gene Crago, 46, passed away peacefully in his sleep, Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Fort Wayne, IN. Born in Huntington, IN Don was a 1990 Huntington North High School Graduate and served honorably in the U.S. Navy. Don started his career at Deister and then Hanson Stone Quarry. Currently, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 103. He worked hard to gain as many certifications as possible. He had an amazing work ethic and he was very proud to be a member of the union. Don also loved the outdoors, gardening, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Don was truly loved by so many and he will be dearly missed. Surviving are his beloved wife of 5 years, Kelly A. (Johnson) Crago of Fort Wayne, IN; mother, Betty (Philip) Andorfer of Columbia City, IN; brother, Mel (Patti) Crago of Westfield, IN; sister, Georgia (Rob) Strickler of Roanoke, IN; father-in-law, Steven (Marianne Wade) Johnson of Angola; sister-in-law, Holly (Scott) Uetrecht of Leo, IN; niece and nephews, Corey and Eric Uetrecht of Leo, IN and Aaron Strickler of Roanoke. Don was preceded in death by his father Melvin Gorman Crago I. Service is 11:00 am, Thursday, August 30, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with an hour of calling prior to the service. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, Wednesday, August 29, 2018, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. As we gather to celebrate Don's life, our family would like to encourage casual attire.
