Cliff Gerber 80, of Fort Wayne passed away on September 5, 2022. He was a graduate of Lancaster High School Class of 1959. Cliff later attended Ivy Tech Business College. He married his high school sweetheart, Delores (Wilson) Gerber and later they were blessed with a daughter, Cynthia and a son, Clifford. Cliff worked as a foreman at Kresge Warehouse, retiring from there after 17 years of service. Cliff and his wife owned and operated Gerber Grocery Store in Monroe, Indiana and he also transported gasoline to local gas stations. He was a member of the planetary society and was a master gardener. Cliff retired in 2000 and enjoyed spending winters at their home in Inverness, Florida and summers at their home on Story Lake, Dekalb County. He also enjoyed going on many cruises, rivers, lakes, and oceans. Surviving are his wife, Delores Gerber of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Leslie (Neil) Draper and Allison (Brett) Bothast; great- grandchildren, Jace Wade Draper, Zoe Denise Draper, Heath Bothast and Grant Bothast; sister-in-law, Marilyn Kiefer of Rochester, MN; niece, Kathy (Mike) Pate of Rochester, MN; nephew, Scott Kiefer of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; and a birthday buddy who shared Cliff’s November 7th Birthday, Luke Tucker of Rochester, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cliff and Marie (Kipfer) Gerber; children, Cynthia “Cindy” Gerber-Noe and Clifford Douglas Gerber; granddaughter, Heather Ann Gerber; and brother-in-law, Fred Kiefer. Private services and burial were carried out per Cliff’s wishes.
