Betty J. Baviers Swalley

BETTY J. SWALLEY, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 at her residence. Born Dec. 21, 1924 in Toledo, Ohio, she retired from Smurfitt-Stone Container Corp. She is survived by her son, Richard (Gloria) Holle of Fort Wayne; daughter, Susan Holle of Angola; son-in-law, Michael Douglas of Peru, Ind; grandchildren, Emilie, Jacob and Caleb Douglas, and Julia Ann Holle. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Swalley who died in 2005; daughter, Julia Ann Douglas who died in 1993; parents; and four sisters. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
