Barbara L. Yager

Barbara (Baker) Yager was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, on November 8, 1929 to Alrick and Maycel Baker. She came from a large family that included fourteen children and she is survived by her sister, Beverly Meyer. Barbara married Leslie Dean Yager, Jr. on June 25, 1949 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. They had three children: Greg Yager, Eric Yager, and Karen; (Yager) Birkenbeul. Seven grandchildren: Lindsay (Yager) Brubaker, Erin Yager, John Birkenbeul, Shayla Yager, Laura (Birkenbeul) Cooley, Cory Yager, and Joe Jernegan; and six great-grandchildren: Ross, Ryan, Avery, Jack, Sophia, and Quinn. Dean preceded Barbara in death on January 1, 1995. Barbara was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church and American Legion Post 296. Friends and family were important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them. Memorial Service will be Saturday July 12, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church West Berry St. Fort Wayne, Indiana 46802. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
