Ann Welty, 89, passed away November 12, 2024, at Lutheran Life Villages of Pine Valley in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born February 18, 1935, in Jalgaon, India, the daughter of Albert Carroll and Artimese C. (Church) Eicher.
She graduated from Woodstock High School in Woodstock, India, and earned her Bachelor’s from Fort Wayne Bible College. Ann was a homemaker and was self-employed as a seamstress, specializing in wedding and bridal attire for many years. She was a former member of Blackhawk Ministries and attended Headwaters Church.
She is survived by her children, Karen A. (Tim) Williams, Doug P. (Aries) Welty, Mark D. (Kristy) Welty; grandchildren, Doug (Ashley) Welty Jr., Sarah (Dillon) Olney, Vince Welty, Jessica (Michael) Waymire, Dan (Kacie) Welty, Jack (Corinne Skalicky) Welty and Tia (Matthew) Rumple. Ann is also survived by great-grandchildren Ellie Welty, Sophie Welty, William Welty, Landon Welty, Leighton Welty, Caden Welty, Kyler Welty, and Calvin Waymire.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul Frederick Welty, on September 25, 2015, and her brother, David A Eicher.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial and Committal will be at Highland Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Headwaters Church, 2000 N. Wells Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
