Stewart W. Buchanan

Stewart W. Buchanan, age 85, of Falls Church, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Stewart was born November 19, 1936. Stew was a civil servant for 35 years, retiring in 1993 then accepted a job at the Reinforced Earth Company until he was 80yrs old. He also served in the DC National Guard in his early 20's.He loved playing sports especially Softball, but his favorite sport was bowling. He bowled (2) 300 games. Stew was also member of Trinity Methodist Church. McLean Va. He leaves his wife to cherish his memory, Teresa M. Buchanan; his daughter, Joann Townsend; his son, Dale Buchanan, and his granddaughter, Mikayla Townsend. A visitation for Stewart will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at National Memorial Park, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042.
