Maria del Carmen Cordova (Age 91) On Wednesday January 20, 2016, Maria del Carmen Cordova of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware passed peacefully surrounded by her loved ones at Delaware Hospice Center. Born in Mexico City, Mexico to Trinidad Espinosa and Pedro Cordova in 1924. She later immigrated to Falls Church, VA where she worked as a payroll accountant in Washington DC. Devoted mother to Jose Carlos Sanchez and his wife Lisa, loving grandmother to Joseph Quentin Sanchez and his wife Stephanie of Dover, DE, Michael John Sanchez and his wife Kelley of Smyrna, DE and Carmen Ann Gallagher and her husband William of Frederica, DE. Maria was an adoring great-grandmother to Nicholas, Cheyenne, Taylor, Christen, Liam, Aidan, Ethan and Noah and great-great grandmother to Gabriel. She is survived by one sister, Lupita Daca; niece and nephew- in-law Drita and Chris Tibbs; niece Diana Daca; nephew Carlos Ricoy; great nephew Juan Carlos Ricoy and great niece Gracia Navarro. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, January 27th from 12-1 for the viewing and 1-2 for the service at Murphy’s Funeral Home, 1102 W. Broad Street, Falls Church, VA.
