Harold Curtis Parker, known as “Ace”, age 90, of Falls Church, VA, died peacefully at his daughter Patty’s home on 1/6/13. He was born and raised in Washington, D.C. and was the beloved husband of Mary Hazel Parker. Also survived by daughter Patty, sons, Bob, and wife Brenda, Bill and wife Shelly, grandchildren, Brooke and husband Eric, Christopher and wife Jen, Whitney, Sarah, Melissa, Victoria, Brett, Emma and Taylor, and great grandson, Ryan.He was predeceased by his beloved son-in-law, George Vinall, who died of ALS He served in the Army and Navy during WW II, graduated from George Washington University with a Degree in Electrical Engineering, and worked at C&P and AT&T for over thirty years. He also worked for H&R Block well into his 80’s. Ace enjoyed coaching Little League and Babe Ruth for years. He was a model train enthusiast, and loved to tell stories.He claims that he had a girlfriend named Francilia, who had one leg and was a snorkler. His favorite poem includes a goose that drank wine and going to Heaven on a billy goat. Ace, thanks for the laughs... Funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the National Funeral Home,7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church,VA.
