Carol D. Phelps

Carol Dolin Phelps, 86, of Orange, Va., passed away on 10.30.22 in Orange, Va. Carol was born Nitro, WV to Ottis & Delores Dolin on December 8, 1935. She went to school at Winfield High School. She married Walter Phelps on May 28, 1955. She graduated from Baptist Bible College. BEST Mother we could have had! We always came first, knew no matter what we did she loved us unconditionally. Carol was involved in all aspects of, Bible Baptist Church, which her husband started. She played piano and accordion, both self-taught, for church services. Typed and printed the weekly bulletin, even driving the school bus to pick up kids when needed. Taught Sunday school class and headed women’s meetings. Cleaning, organizing church activities and too many other things to list. Carol is preceded in death by her Parents Ottis & Delores Dolin, Husband, Walter E. Phelps, Brother Bradford Ray Dolin, Daughter Carole A. Catoe, and Son Larry S Phelps. Carol is survived by Sister Nancy Raynes, Brother David George Dolin, Daughter Barbara Jean Davis, Sons Seth Dolin Phelps, Eugene Bentley Phelps and Brian Curtis Phelps, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at; National Funeral Home 7428 Lee Highway Falls Church, Va. 22047 Viewing 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Service 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Burial at 2:00p.m. Followed by fellowship party till 5:00p.m.
