Yu Mou Zhen

Yu Mou Zhen, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2022, at Deaconess Gateway. He was born February 8, 1932, in Hoisan, China to his late parents, Xianchang and Jinrong (He) Zhen. In 1982, Yu Mou immigrated to the United States from Hong Kong with his wife and oldest son. He began working in Evansville at the Canton Inn and eventually opened restaurants together with his wife in Mt. Vernon, Evansville, and Boonville. After retirement, he enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren. Yu Mou is survived by his wife Li Li Zhen; sons, Wendell Zhen (Hiroko) and Paul Zhen; and grandchildren, Jillian and Benjamin. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday July 16, 2022 at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Pastor Tich Luu, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
