Timothy William Fitzgerald

Timothy William Fitzgerald, 65, of Evansville, IN passed away Monday, July 19, 2021 at River Bend Nursing Home. He was born on December 15, 1955 to the late Gerald and Ellen (Roberts) Fitzgerald. Timothy was a 1973 Graduate of F.J. Reitz High School, and a 1982 ISUE graduate where he received a Bachelor's in Art and Philosophy. In 1985 he graduated from SIU, in Carbondale, IL where he had received his Master’s in Sculpture. Throughout Timothy's career as an artist, he was involved with several exhibitions, workshops, and collections. Timothy considered himself to be a traditional sculptor. Timothy writes, "I may be characterized as a constructivist. My work involves direct process without preconception in formal considerations of abstract and nonobjective image-making... through a manipulation of materials, the abstract ideas become a concrete reality". He was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael Fitzgerald, Patrick Fitzgerald, Stephen Fitzgerald, Anthony Fitzgerald; nephews, Sean Fitzgerald, Oliver Halsey. Timothy is survived by his son, Art Fitzgerald; brothers, Daniel Fitzgerald, David Fitzgerald; sister, Mary-Jane Fitzgerald; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
