Mary I. Adams

Mary I. Adams, 92, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Friday, November 17, 2017, at Deaconess Hospital. She was born on December 31, 1924, in Washington County, Indiana, to the late Charlie and Della (Brown) Miller. Mary retired from Windsor Plastics and enjoyed cooking, traveling, and visiting with family and friends. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Oak Hill Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Adams. They were married in New Albany, Indiana in 1944. Also preceded in death were her parents; her brothers, Kelso (Ruby) and Howard (Mary) Miller; and sister, Wilma (Vance) Ingram. She is survived by her sons, Stephen (Cheryl) and Mark Adams; grandchildren, Phillip (Laura), Kristy and Matthew Adams; and great grandchildren, Emily, Layla, Luke and Jacob; sisters, Audrey (Nobel) Miller, Garnet (Eugene) Dempster, and Elizabeth (Don) Johnson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road, officiated by Minister Jon Riley, with entombment at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Vanderburgh County Humane Society.
