Marvin G. Heilmann, 84, of Evansville, passed away June 12, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Home in Evansville. He was born November 21, 1928, to Gustave G. and Flora Marie Heilmann.
He married Luella Weitkamp in 1956. She preceded him in death in 1989. In 1990, he married Jacqueline Eberhard, who passed in 2011.
Marvin was a talented tool and die maker. He started his career at Whirlpool and later opened his own company, Heilmann Tool and Manufacturing Co., Inc. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He spent his retirement years in Cadiz, KY until moving back to Evansville in 2011.
He was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army.
Marvin was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Evansville, which his family helped found. The Church was very important to Marvin and he was actively involved in many ways.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Bethlehem UCC, 6400 Oak Hill Rd, Evansville, IN 47725, with burial at Bethlehem UCC Cemetery. Friends may visit Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd., Evansville, IN 47711, and on Saturday from 9:30 AM until service time.
Memorial contributions may be to Bethlehem UCC.
