Martha Louise Villines

Martha Louise Villines, 85, of Evansville, passed away September 5, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born on January 26, 1933, in Arkansas, to the late Newton and Mable Sanders.
Martha was a nursing assistant at Deaconess Hospital for many years and formerly worked as a secretary for General Tire. She was a member of Bethel Temple. Martha loved being a homemaker and was an excellent cook, enjoyed gardening, and dancing. She loved being with her children and family. Martha wore many hats and her smile always brightened the room. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Rice Lisman Villines; daughter, Angela Jean Villines; grandmother, Katherine Parton; sister, Ruby Jean Young; and brother, Kermit Johnson.
Martha is survived by her daughters, Donna Rawlins (Larry), Carole Villine; and sons, Joseph Villines, Roger Villines, and Scott Villines.
A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, September 10, 2018, at Alexander East Chapel, 2115 Lincoln Avenue, officiated by Chaplain Tom Hubachek, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, St. Jude Children’s Hospital, or the Alzheimer’s Association. A special thanks to SouthernCare Hospice for their loving care and compassion towards our mother.
