Louis Mason Bost, Jr.

Louis Mason Bost, Jr., 80, of Evansville, died peacefully at home on Friday, July 15, 2011. He was born May 5, 1931, in Evansville. Louis was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corp. Louis retired in 1993 from SIGECO, after 40 years of service. He was an avid golfer and loved animals and music. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Dorothy (Fischer) Bost; and three sisters, Doris Bradford, June Walters, and Phyllis McFarland. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Martha (Cooksey) Bost; daughter, Alice Wootton (Jim) of Paoli, IN; son, Andy L. Bost, Sr. (Mary) of Evansville; grandchildren, Kurt Wootton (MariMar) of Merida, Mexico, A. J. Bost and Angela Wathen both of Evansville, and Sgt. 1st Class Louis Mason Bost III (Carol) of Ft Benning, GA; great grandchildren, Mason Bost, Tyler Wathen, and Sandra Wootton; sisters, Lois Wiles and Betty Hammond both of Evansville; brothers, Richard Bost of Ocean City, Maryland and Chuck Bost of Indianapolis; and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the staff at Heritage Hospice for their care for Louis at home. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Monday, July 25, 2011, at Alexander East Chapel.
