Hattie Frances Meckert

Hattie Frances Meckert, 93, of Evansville, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at VNA Plus Charlier Hospice Center. She was born November 26, 1919, in Daviess County, KY, to the late Earnest and Susie (Son) Wilson. She retired from St. Mary’s Pediatrics after 20 years. She enjoyed traveling to St. Louis, MO, Gulf Shores, AL and Gatlinburg, TN, as well as needlepoint and baking. Hattie was preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry; husband, Kenneth; and daughter, Diane Bailey. She is survived by her son, Dennis (Janet) Meckert of Gulf Shores, AL; son-in-law, Phil Bailey; grandchildren, Kristi Meckert, Scott Meckert and wife Elizabeth of Atlanta, GA and Jeff Bailey; and great-grandchildren, Andrew and Henry Meckert. Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, May 2, 2013, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Dr. Linda Parker, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
